The stress of 2020 has followed us into the early part of 2021. However, vaccines are rolling out now and the outlook for spring/summer is much more positive. While we can still expect something “not quite normal”, the prospect of time at the lake is a beautiful thing. Whatever the safety protocols look like in March/April/May, we have no doubt it will be easier and more pleasant to comply at Caliente.

If you are reading this near the time of writing, we are now recruiting for an on-site property caretaker (see the new ‘caretaker tab’ for details). Please forward this information to anyone you think might find this opportunity attractive. We can’t help thinking there are some snowbird couples out there who might see Caliente as a great summer option.

We are happy to report on a couple of new projects that were unanimously approved and funded by the ownership group.

New privacy walls (matching cabin exteriors) will be constructed to enhance the lakeside patio experience.
A new water collection system for irrigation will be added. The environmental friendly diversion will reduce demand on our well pump and solar power while providing better irrigation for our growing landscape additions.

There is more good news…. Strata Fees will remain at the same rate for a third consecutive year. The Strata is absorbing some increases in insurance rates but savings have been realized in other areas where volunteer contributions have been key. Thank you to all the owners who have helped with maintenance and projects.
